Named for the year in which the American Red Cross was founded,
the 1881 Society has a specialized "advanced preparedness"
mission for which it is recognized:

To provide out Red Cross chapter with the financial support it needs
to always be prepared locally for any emergency, crisis or disaster
that strikes our community and its citizens.
